The Role

We’re hiring a part-time, Design Assistant with a path to full-time employment. You’ll support design development and project execution from concept through install, working directly with the Principal Designer.


What you’ll do
  • Draft floor plans, elevations, and presentation boards (AutoCAD/SketchUp + Adobe CC).

  • Source FF&E, request/track samples, and maintain the materials library.

  • Build/spec schedules (furniture, lighting, finishes) and update pricing & lead times.

  • Coordinate with vendors: quotes, POs, order tracking, deliveries, and damages/returns.

  • Prepare client-ready decks and meeting materials; capture notes and action items.

  • Support site work: measurements, surveys, punch lists, and installation days.

  • Keep projects organized in Asana/Google Drive/Harvest/Programa/Dropbox; log time and support invoicing workflows.

  • Assist with the management of our office and studio.

You are
  • Recent design school graduate or 1–3+ years experience in interior design, architecture, or a related studio/firm.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp, Adobe InDesign/Photoshop, Google Workspace.

  • Strong eye for materials, proportion, and detailing; excellent written communication.

  • Organized, solution-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines.

  • Able to lift/move samples and assist during installs (up to ~25–30 lbs).

  • Bonus: FF&E procurement experience, commercial office project exposure.


Contract-to-Hire

This role starts as a part-time position with the intent to convert to full-time based on performance and studio needs. We’ll align on a clear review timeline and milestones at onboarding.
